Mindfulness and Trauma
Mindfulness is being proved as stress reducer and effective in many ways, but trauma survivors are not very comfortable with closing their eyes or feeling safe in the environment where the instructor of mindfulness is trying to help. This book is for all the professional therapist, meditation instructors and other people who use mindfulness in their work and should be part of the trauma informed care.
Mindfulness is now more and more used in corporations, recovery treatment center and also in schools. In some countries they are teaching mindfulness little toddlers. It is basically self-awareness, being in the presence, now and here, which is our very natural state.
